The Thief

A thief in the night I am

Just a patient observer if you will

Watching the barefoot princess

Looking at the moon reflect in her eyes

Taking note of the jokers

The ones who seek to capture her heart’s eye

They don’t seek to satisfy

But use her to quench their own selfish wants

When can I save her from them?

From their gnashing teeth and alluring lies?

Their facades are attractive

And their promises swoon her fragile heart

My Love, will you start to see?

I cannot wait here much longer watching

My heart cannot take the pain

The pain of watching you throw it all down

The jokers will always come

Perhaps I will always be here waiting

Observing your soft footsteps

And musing on you, beautiful princess

The Entice

Alluring effect

Your beautiful web

Entangles my being

Pulling ever close

Sweetening the smell

Of your raptured soul

Don’t let me fall away

I need your soft touch

Comfort my tremble

Sweet euphoria

In your gentle voice

Take me into this

Your blissful embrace

The little things you do
Tend to hurt the most
Pardon this
Pardon that
Pardon me no more
The facade can’t last long
Yet you hold keeping your vice
Can’t let go of your Cinderella story?
All the lies
All the pain
Can’t let go?
Insecurities shadowed by pride
Will you let yourself die inside?

Awakening

Dry and dead we were

Drifting with the crowd

Lost in our cold tomb

Caring not at all

Finally it broke

The storm had arrived

Washed away our coma

Renewing our breath

And gasping for air

We came to realize

Our enduring cries

Silent but still heard

Brought our redemption

Lightning struck new life

Bringing forth the dawn

Hope and our relief

And here again I find myself

Laying in this damp dirt of the night

Staring into the empty sky

Wondering where this will take us both

Will it end in each other’s arms

Or in pain from our separation

Will it become something pure bliss

Or turn into the worst of nightmares

I cannot say how it will end

But I do know how it came to be

With your unrestricted beauty

Undeniably you stole my being

I fell, stumbled, succumbed

Yet, the thought of you kept me

I hope you will someday know

Know this,

This is my Life

I smiled in my soul

Seeing your nirvana

Did you notice?

Know this,

This is my Laughter

Close to my heart I wish to keep you

Smell of your perfume

Sweet embrace

Know this,

This is my Love

No matter the pain

No matter the burden

I would catch your tears

Know this,

This is my Truth
